An amazing device for a very good price. N64 and dreamcast games run a little wonky but that’s not a surprise. Only con is the lack of wifi or any direction on what usb-c wifi dongle will actually work with it.

These definitely have a a low-budget quality to them, but it’s no worse than it should be for a usd $25 price point. I would normally recommend something better but if you can’t spend more than $25 or so then this is a reasonable choice. I got this one as a “throwaway extra” for experimentation, where the main requirement is that it be the cheapest arm a gaming handheld available at the moment. I used arkos and a name branded small sd card in place of the unlabeled card it came with.

Pros: the device looks good. The screen is bright and crisp. Controls feel decent and the ergonomic build feels well designed for the size, i really like the grip. Cons: several of the buttons are clicky and the device rattles very loudly when shaken. Some of the game systems do not play well, i experienced distorted audio and slow or glitchy playback, some did not respond to control inputs accurately; several games are unplayable . Total games included falls significantly short of the advertised “16,000+””. In actuality, there are only 13,151, which is a deficit of 2,849 games (this sounds like a lot imho). The stock os returns a red error screen when trying to access some items from the options menu – i hope flashing a custom os/fw will fix some of these issues. Summary: i did not have high expectations due to k36 being an inexpensive entry-level handheld, but i cannot excuse any false advertising claims and am deeply unimpressed with faulty behavior from the system software.

Great screen (bright, crisp, good colors). D-pad, buttons, and sticks work very well. Battery seems good. Included sd card works fine. However recommend swapping out sd card with one loaded with a community maintained image of arkos for the k36 console and similar clones. After performing this step the device works better. Use a usb-c network adapter to get online.

I have anbernic devices and the fact that these are half the price and work as well as they do is amazing. Just bought my second one because i gave the first to my nephew and both have worked flawlessly.

It’s a emuelec clone, and not a great one. If you don’t know what a clone is, you are probably ok with it. The buttons are poorly constructed, one in five times they don’t register a stroke.

Responsive controls and analog sticks feel great! Some games from the high-end consoles(n64, playstation, psp) run so bad they are practically unplayable, but the capcom arcade packages include pretty much every fighting game in their catalog that all run and play great making that alone worth the purchase! ! Definitely happy with the product for price, all things considered! !

It arrived quickly and works well. The quality of the buttons and levers is very good. The games come in English. I recommend changing the SD memory, as the one it comes with is of poor quality, and also changing the operating system so that the games work better. Look for tutorials on YouTube if you don’t know how to do it.
